This Beautifully Bizarre Cloud Formation Was Spotted in the Sky Above Australia.

By  |

Have you ever looked up at the sky and noticed a cloud that doesn”t look like a cloud at all? I don”t mean a familiar-looking cumulus that bears an uncanny resemblance to your childhood dog. I”m talking about a formation of clouds that look like its middle dropped out of it like a bad souffle. These fallstreak holes (or hole punch clouds) are quite rare, but they”re also a bit jarring to see.

Recently, a rather large fallstreak hole was found in the sky above Victoria, Australia. What makes this one even more special is that it had a beautiful rainbow in the middle of it. Take a look!

I can”t help but feel like it”s only going to go downhill from here when it comes to seeing fallstreak holes. It”s going to be tough to top the colorful treat this one has. I only wish I could have caught it in person.
