Their Babies Got Switched At The Hospital. And Not Til 2 Weeks Later, This Happened.

A hospital did the unthinkable and lost a woman”s baby. Well, actually they lost two. On the same day. On September 30th, both Maria Lorena Gerbeno and Veronica Tejada gave birth to healthy girls at the Sanatorio Argentino, a private clinic in San Juan. Then, they unknowingly took home the other woman”s baby.
The two women took home the newborns and cared after them for days, not knowing the baby they were caring after wasn”t their own.
Maria delivered her baby via C-section and she knew the newborn weighed only 6lbs 8oz. The nurses handed her a baby that weighed over 8lbs and was delivered via breech birth. She informed the hospital that there must be something wrong, but no one gave her answers.
The babies only came to be switched back because the mothers serendipitously ran into each other at their babies” three week checkups. They compared stories and were shocked to realize their babies had been switched at birth.
Thankfully, each baby was lovingly cared for. It was just by the wrong family.
