This Is What The Grand Canyon Has Looked Like So Far In 2015
The Grand Canyon is known for being a powerful and overwhelming landscape. One of the most incredible things about this landmark is its sheer size. It”s approximately 277 river miles long, up to 18 miles wide, and it”s a 1 mile deep.
What it isn”t known for is being a winter wonderland (especially since it”s in the desert). But, this is what the canyon looked like on the first day of 2015.
And that, dear friends, is what the Grand Canyon looks like covered in snow.
Hopefully the trail donkeys had all weather horseshoes on.
Northern Arizona received over 4 inches of snowfall on New Years Eve and Day.
Snow is a rare occurrence in this part of the country, but when it happens? WOW.
