As it turns out, celebrities really can’t win whatever they do. First we have the media constantly making Jennifer Aniston out to be lonely and sad because she hasn’t had children and now Victoria Beckham is being slated for kissing her daughter.
The Spice Girl turned fashion designer posted the photo of herself and daughter Harper and wished her a happy birthday, captioning the photo:
‘Happy Birthday baby girl ðð»ð We all love you so much ððð X @davidbeckham @brooklynbeckham kisses from mummy’.
The photo, which is adorable, has sadly been met with some heavy criticising and the mother-of-four has been slated for kissing her daughter on the lips.
Could our eyes roll back any more?
Some people have labelled it as inappropriate and called Victoria Beckham a “lesbian”, despite the husband of 17 years and four children and the fact she is kissing her daughter!
One user actually wrote “Eww sorry I’m old fashioned it looks like they’re making out”, with another saying “It is strange to kiss your parents on the lips”.
There was one person criticising Victoria for kissing Harper, but from more of a health aspect, “A lot of kids get cold sores from their parents kissing them on the mouth”.
I’m sure many do, but even so, we were saddened to see that an act of motherly love could be turned around and twisted into such a cynical thing.
Victoria isn’t the first and certainly won’t be the last celebrity to have their parenting met with negativity. Hopefully Victoria will have just laughed the comments off.
